Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama has a culture that encourages staff to look at everything through the eyes of their patients. They focus on what's important: providing excellent patient care by listening and responding to patient needs. Or, as the hospital has called it, "The Thomas Touch".

"The Thomas Touch" was one of the guiding principles for the design of the signage and displays in the new North Tower addition. There is only one thing more frustrating than not having wayfinding information when you need it and that's trying to follow signs with out-of-date or incorrect information. The Design Team at Thomas selected a range of modular sign and display products from APCO so they would be able to provide accurate information to their patients and visitors. The directional signs, directories and room identification signs all feature replaceable cardstock inserts that can be laser printed in house with minimal cost and effort.

The finishes selected complement the space and the graphic and architectural elements contribute to the wayfinding, making the building easier for guests to navigate. APCO systems selected for the project included FullView and Accord 15 for the signage and MyDay for the patient information displays.
